Ranked No. 11 last week, American Heritage moved up to No. 5 after defeating previous No. 24 Hallandale 38-15. The loss dropped Hallandale from the rankings.
Archbishop Rummel (Metairie, La.) also moved into the top 10, going from No. 15 to No. 9.
The regional rankings are based on the
MaxPreps Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. The South region includes teams from Florida, Tennessee, Maryland, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Washington D.C., Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
