Softball Recap: Pike Road Takes a Loss

Pike Road was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lawrence County Red Devils. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Red Devils when the teams met back in March of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kasyn Wilson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Mary Hayden Hargrove was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Pike Road's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Lawrence County, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.

Coming up, Pike Road will square off against Holtville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lawrence County, they will take on Curry at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Curry will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Lawrence County surely won't give up without a fight.
