Basketball Recap: Paul Cuffee Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Paul Cuffee, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Achievement First Providence Falcons out 49-46. Paul Cuffee has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Achievement First Providence, too.

When it comes to explaining why Achievement First Providence lost on Wednesday, don't look at Steven Rodriguez. Despite the final result, he posted 20 points. Those 20 points gave Rodriguez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Fred Browne, who put up nine points.

Paul Cuffee's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Achievement First Providence, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Paul Cuffee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-55 defeat against Times Squared Academy on the 30th. As for Achievement First Providence, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-59 loss against Providence Country Day on the 31st.
