Basketball Game Preview: Freedom Patriots vs. Chamberlain Storm

The Freedom Patriots are taking a road trip to square off against the Chamberlain Storm at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Freedom is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season.

Freedom is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past King 72-32 last Saturday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Patriots with their most commanding win of the season.

Freedom got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Serigme Thiam out in front who went 5 for 9 on his way to 15 points. Thiam continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Trey Hill was another key player, going 6 for 10 on his way to 14 points and five assists.

Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Chamberlain's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 66-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Seffner Christian.

Freedom's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Chamberlain, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5.

Freedom took their win against Chamberlain in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 68-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Freedom since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
