Soccer Recap: Freedom Comes Up Short

Freedom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Patton Panthers, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Freedom can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 346th, while Patton are ranked 70th).

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 3-8-1. As for Patton, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1-2.

Looking ahead, Freedom is taking a road trip to take on St. Stephens at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Freedom will be up against St. Stephens' rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.09 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Patton, they will be playing at home against Hibriten at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
