Basketball Game Preview: Alto Yellowjackets vs. Douglass Indians

Alto hasn't had much luck against Douglass recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Alto Yellowjackets will be playing at home against the Douglass Indians at 6:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Alto took a 28-point loss the last time they faced off against Mt. Enterprise, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Alto had just enough and edged Mt. Enterprise out 59-57. The win was nothing new for the Yellowjackets as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Douglass). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 78-19 victory over Carlisle. Douglass has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 24 points or more this season.

Douglass is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-16 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points over those games. As for Alto, their win bumped their record up to 20-9.
