Recap: University Wildcats vs. Palisades Dolphins
The University Wildcats suffered their biggest defeat since January 3rd on Monday. They took a serious blow against Palisades, falling 86-46. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for University in their matchups with Palisades: they've now lost eight in a row.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was George Walls, who scored 12 points along with two blocks. Nasir Ledwith was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
University has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Palisades, they pushed their record up to 9-12 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University will take on Fairfax at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fairfax has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29. As for Palisades, they will play host again and welcome Venice, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Venice is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
