Basketball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Central can now relate to. They took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crescent Valley Raiders on Tuesday. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Crescent Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-6.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crescent Valley, they will face off against North Eugene at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Eugene knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Crescent Valley likes a good challenge.
