Baseball Recap: Pickerington North Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Pickerington North duked it out with Hilliard Davidson on Friday. The Panthers took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2016.

Pickerington North got a good showing from Keegan Reuscher, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Reuscher has allowed since back in April.

At the plate, Brent Parsons was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Jackson Turnbull was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Pickerington North and nudges their season record down to 11-11. As for Hilliard Davidson, their victory bumped their record up to 11-13.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Pickerington North will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Westland at 5:00 p.m. As for Hilliard Davidson, they will take on Hayes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Pacers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
