In the ongoing battle for first place, Worthington beat Jackson County Central this week, 15-11 on Monday.
Worthington leads Southwest with an 8-2 record, and has an overall record of 12-3.
Luverne (10-6, 6-5) has won four games in a row, the league's longest active win streak. The streak was extended by another three games over the past week, including an 8-4 victory over Windom and a 15-4 win over Tracy-Milroy-Balaton.
