Baseball Recap: Valley Vista Comes Up Short

Valley Vista was the 2-1 winner over Tolleson when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Monsoon fell 5-2 to the Wolverines on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Valley Vista saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Munoz, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Valley Vista has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Tolleson, they pushed their record up to 13-9-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

While Valley Vista had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
