East Forsyth proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Western Guilford Hornets 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

East Forsyth wouldn't go down easily and took Western Guilford into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-16, 25-14, 21-25, 15-9.

East Forsyth's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Western Guilford, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Forsyth will welcome Davie County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Western Guilford and Ben L. Smith will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Hornets their first taste of in-conference action this season.
