Davenport put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They put the hurt on Celebration with a sharp 62-39 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Davenport.
Meanwhile, Auburndale's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against George Jenkins, falling 52-14. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Auburndale in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost nine in a row.
Davenport's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Auburndale, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Davenport against the Bloodhounds when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 58-11 victory. With Davenport ahead 45-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
