Morrison had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Oregon Hawks  a   5-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Bella Duncan made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than 11  strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April.
 Duncan wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Bella Scachette, who  went 1-for-4 with one  double and one  RBI.
Morrison's record now sits at 18-4. As for Oregon, their loss dropped their record down to 22-12.
 Morrison wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  15-0  victory against Pecatonica on the 17th. As for Oregon, they will square off against Erie-Prophetstown at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.6  runs per game this season.
