Recap: Edison Tigers vs. Centennial Golden Hawks

If the Edison Tigers were riding high off their 52-27 takedown of the Sunnyside Wildcats on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Edison took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Centennial on Tuesday. Edison has struggled against Centennial recently, as their match on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Leading Centennial to victory were Donquavius Bolton and Rippen Gill. Bolton dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Gill scored 22 points along with 9 rebounds and 7 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Gill has scored at least 25% of Centennial's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Gutierrez, who scored 12 points along with 4 steals.

Edison now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Centennial, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Edison is on the road again on Thursday and play against St. Mary's at 5:45 p.m. on November 30th. Hopefully St. Mary's focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday. Centennial will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bakersfield at 6:30 p.m. on December 11th.
