Baseball Game Preview: Rensselaer Central Bombers vs. Kankakee Valley Kougars

The Rensselaer Central Bombers will take on the Kankakee Valley Kougars at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Rensselaer Central and three for Kankakee Valley.

On Thursday, Rensselaer Central came up short against Hebron and fell 11-6.

Kouts hit Kankakee Valley with a four-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Kougars took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs & Fillies.

Zach Eggers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Rowan Kenning, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Rensselaer Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Kankakee Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1.
