Basketball Recap: Eagle Wins High-Profile Game Against Legend

Eagle is ranked highly in their home state and on Monday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Legend. The Mustangs snuck past the Titans with a 38-32 win. Those 38 points were actually the fewest the Mustangs have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Legend's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addyson Law, who posted nine points and four steals. Maile Starns was another key player, putting up 12 points.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Eagle, bringing their record up to 11-1. As for Legend, they moved to 5-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Eagle and Legend will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Mustangs see the court they'll take on Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2026. As for Legend, their break will end when they face Riverdale Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2026.
