Baseball Recap: Shelby County Wildcats vs. Baldwin County Tigers
It was a proper cat-fight when Shelby County challenged Baldwin County on Friday. The Shelby County Wildcats fell 9-4 to the Baldwin County Tigers.
Colby Matherson put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
