Basketball Recap: Landon Strasburg's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Park Rapids over Barnesville

Park Rapids lost against Barnesville back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Park Rapids Panthers lost 86-66 to the Barnesville Trojans. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (57), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

Park Rapids' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Strasburg, who went 7-for-12 from beyond the arc on his way to 27 points and eight boards. The contest was Strasburg's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Ryan Carroll was another key player, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Park Rapids dropped their record down to 7-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Barnesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Park Rapids has already played their next game, a 63-42 victory against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton on the 6th. As for Barnesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-47 win against Staples-Motley on the 7th.
