After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jay M. Robinson, Carson was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past the South Rowan Raiders to the tune of 35-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Cougars just coasted through the last quarter.

Rosean Perkins had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 140 yards and three scores on only 12 carries, while also picking up 80 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 140 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Griffin Barber was another key player, rushing for 58 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Carson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 255 rushing yards. They are 5-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Carson's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Another thorn in South Rowan's side was Cruise Montieth, who picked up a sack and made two total tackles in addition to snagging two interceptions.

The victory got Carson back to even at 5-5. As for South Rowan, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

As of now, neither Carson nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
