Volleyball Recap: Karley Loos' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Catholic Central over Shoreland Lutheran + How To Watch

Catholic Central lost against Shoreland Lutheran back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hilltoppers lost 3-0 to the Pacers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hilltoppers have suffered since October 10, 2024.

Catholic Central took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-16, 25-23.

Catholic Central's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karley Loos, who had eight kills. Another player making a difference was Averie Calkins, who had 11 assists.

Catholic Central now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Shoreland Lutheran, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Catholic Central will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kenosha Christian Life at 6:45 p.m. on September 16. As for Shoreland Lutheran, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Beaver Dam on the 29th.
