Community Christian has gone 3-0 against Ahoskie Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Community Christian Cyclones will head out to challenge Ahoskie Christian at 7:00 p.m. Community Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Community Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Northwest Halifax two weeks ago. Community Christian had just enough and edged Northwest Halifax out 76-73. Given the Cyclones' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Vikings are ranked 353rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Briceson Martin and Evan Gattis were among the main playmakers for Community Christian as the former went 8 for 11 on his way to 24 points in addition to five assists and three blocks and the latter posted 27 points along with seven boards and three steals. Gattis' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chason Bryant, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points.
Community Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.
Meanwhile, Ahoskie Christian can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They blew past Fellowship Christian Academy 72-7. That looming 72-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Ahoskie Christian yet this season.
Community Christian better focus on containing Jaelen Rascoe and Tyler Martin as the pair were huge in Ahoskie Christian's win. Rascoe dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten boards, while Martin went 12 of 15 on his way to 25 points. Rascoe is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last 13 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Earley, who posted eight points and three steals.
Community Christian's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Ahoskie Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Community Christian has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 36 boards per game. However, it's not like Ahoskie Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
