Mineral Point came tearing into Thursday's contest with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Iowa-Grant Panthers with a sharp 66-45 victory. Given the Pointers' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th in Wisconsin, while the Panthers are ranked 319th in Wisconsin), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mineral Point's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points over those games. As for Iowa-Grant, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.
