Basketball Recap: Greenfield Hustlin' Hawks vs. Racine Park Panthers
Greenfield and Racine Park squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Greenfield had to settle for second. They fell to the Racine Park Panthers 73-69. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-73 back in December of 2024.
Racine Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaxson Moss, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 18 boards. The matchup was Moss' sixth in a row with at least 18 points. Zareontae Gwinn was another key player, shooting 50% from the field on his way to 19 points and eight rebounds.
Greenfield's loss dropped their record down to 23-4. As for Racine Park, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-2.
