Volleyball Recap: Isabella Nu?ez and Kayleene Pantoja Secure Win for Arvin

Arvin won the last time they faced Taft and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bears came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats, sneaking past 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Leading Arvin to victory were Kayleene Pantoja and Isabella Nu?ez. Pantoja had 18 digs and three aces, while Nu?ez had four digs and three aces. That's the most aces Pantoja has posted over her last six matches.

They weren't the only good server: Arvin was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive games.

Karsynn Owens and Rylee Owens certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Karsynn had 15 assists and seven digs, while Rylee had nine digs, three aces, and one block. Karsynn is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Arvin's record is now 15-7-3. As for Taft, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.

Arvin has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Santa Clarita Christian on the 13th. As for Taft, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Highland on the 13th.
