There's no place like home for Lumberton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They skirted past the St. Pauls Bulldogs 10-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Pirates considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Jaelyn Hammond was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Leea Wilkins was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple.

Lumberton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Lumberton's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for St. Pauls, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Looking ahead, Lumberton will take on Scotland in a tournament on Monday. The Fighting Scots will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight. As for St. Pauls, they will take on Red Springs at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. The Red Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.16 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
