West Marion put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lawrence County Cougars a 13-0 shutout. That looming 13-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Trojans yet this season.
Izzy Pittman was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Pittman was even better at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Aliyah Graham and Gracie Odom did most of the damage at the plate: Graham went a perfect2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Odom went a perfect3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
