Baseball Recap: St. Francis Comes Up Short

St. Francis fell victim to Notre Dame (SO) and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 1-0. The Golden Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Francis and nudges their season record down to 10-17. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Notre Dame (SO), they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-13 record this season.

While St. Francis had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
