Soccer Game Preview: Cathedral Prep vs. Frederick Douglass + How To Watch

The Cathedral Prep Ramblers are taking a road trip to square off against the Frederick Douglass Broncos at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. Cathedral Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.

Cathedral Prep barely beat Tates Creek the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Ramblers never let the Commodores get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Saturday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Cathedral Prep were the better team in the second half.

Max Johnson and Jack Louie scored all three of Cathedral Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, Frederick Douglass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 5-0 to Lafayette. While losing is never fun, Frederick Douglass can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky soccer rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Lafayette are ranked tenth).

The win made it two in a row for Cathedral Prep and bumps their season record up to 6-2-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two matches. As for Frederick Douglass, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1.
