Soccer Recap: Lehighton Comes Up Short

Lehighton's game on Saturday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against the Pottsville Crimson Tide, falling 3-0. Lehighton were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pottsville apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Lehighton and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Pottsville, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lehighton will face off against Salisbury Township at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pottsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine Grove at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine Grove's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Pottsville's offense will have their work cut out for them.
