Softball Recap: DuBois Central Catholic Takes a Loss

DuBois Central Catholic has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.77 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against the DuBois Beavers, falling 12-1. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Beavers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

DuBois Central Catholic now has a losing record of 6-7. As for DuBois, their record is now 9-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DuBois Central Catholic will venture away from home to face off against Kane at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for DuBois, they will head out on the road to square off against Bradford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Owls have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.6 runs per game on average), something the Beavers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
