Baseball Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

Richland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Central Hinds Academy Cougars, falling 13-3. One positive for the Rangers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Richland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cormarion Brent, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. That hit was Brent's first of the season.

Richland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Central Hinds Academy, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-5.

Richland has already played their next match, a 16-6 loss against Pisgah on the 1st. As for Central Hinds Academy, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Central Hinds Academy Cougars take on Independence Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on March 10th.
