Volleyball Recap: Eastern Eagles vs. Fairfield Lions
If Eastern was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Green two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eastern Eagles lost 3-0 to the Fairfield Lions on Wednesday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2015.
Fairfield found their leader in sophomore Alyssa Bales, who had 12 digs and two aces.
Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Fairfield, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-6.
Eastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fairfield, they will square off against Nelsonville-York at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Nelsonville-York will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Fairfield surely won't give up without a fight.
