Sherman won the last time they faced River View, and Trey Lester did his part to make sure it happened again. The Tide enjoyed a cozy 22-6 win over the Raiders on Friday with plenty of help from Lester, who rushed for 129 yards and three scores on only 12 carries, and also picked up 103 receiving yards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 100.5 receiving yards per game.

Sherman's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB eight times. The heavy lifting was done by Connor Lovejoy and Levi Sprouse, who racked up four sacks between them. Another thorn in River View's side was Dawson Green, who picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

The victory made it two in a row for Sherman and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.5 points over those games. As for River View, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sherman will face off against Wayne at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for River View, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tug Valley at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
