Baseball Game Preview: Kimball Jaguars vs. Chavez Titans

Kimball has gone a perfect 3-0 against Chavez recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Kimball Jaguars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chavez Titans at 4:00 p.m. Chavez took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Kimball, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Kimball duked it out with Antioch on Monday. Kimball came out on top against Antioch by a score of 4-1.

Dawson Pelech spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on James Isler, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Aj Rodriguez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Chavez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against Stagg, falling 19-1.

Kimball's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5. As for Chavez, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Kimball took their win against Chavez in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 12-0. Will Kimball repeat their success, or does Chavez have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
