Fairview and Sycamore are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Yellowjackets will be playing at home against the War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Fairview headed into their last game having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Montgomery Central let them put that streak behind them. The Yellowjackets put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 4-1 victory on Thursday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.

Meanwhile, Sycamore strolled into their game on Thursday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. They never let Creek Wood get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Considering Sycamore have won four matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Dylan Atnip and Dominik Gutierrez scored all four of Sycamore's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

Sycamore's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0-1. As for Fairview, their win bumped their record up to 3-4-1.

Fairview came out on top in a nail-biter against Sycamore in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Yellowjackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the War Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
