Soccer Recap: El Rancho Comes Up Short

El Rancho was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 3-1 defeat to the Hoover Tornados. That's two games in a row now that the Dons have lost by exactly two goals.

El Rancho's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Hoover, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Rancho will take on La Serna at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hoover, they will face off against Muir at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hoover is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.2 goals per game this season.
