Softball Recap: Woodford County Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Woodford County's offense. They fell just short of the Lexington Catholic Knights by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Yellowjackets have suffered since April 29, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Woodford County and nudges their season record down to 15-11-1. As for Lexington Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Woodford County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-3 loss against Lafayette on the 9th. As for Lexington Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Bryan Station on the 13th.
