Softball Recap: Humble Comes Up Short

Humble was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the North Shore Mustangs, falling 11-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 on March 4th.

Humble's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for North Shore, they moved to 7-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Humble will challenge Channelview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Channelview has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something Humble will no doubt try to take advantage of. We've got a battle between Mustangs coming up. Kingwood's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so North Shore's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
