Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley Stream Central). They put the hurt on Roslyn/Friends Academy with a sharp 38-14 victory on Saturday. The Eagles' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Valley Stream Central pushed their record up to 3-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.0 points over those games. As for Roslyn/Friends Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Valley Stream Central will head out on the road to square off against Long Beach at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Marines' defense has only allowed 14.1 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them. Roslyn/Friends Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
