Basketball Recap: Mylie Sipe's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lewis Cass over Rochester

Lewis Cass lost against Rochester back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lewis Cass Kings fell just short of the Rochester Zebras by a score of 34-32.

Lewis Cass' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mylie Sipe, who posted eight points and six boards. Anna Hedrick was another key player, putting up eight points.

Lewis Cass has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-5 record this season. As for Rochester, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewis Cass will challenge Wabash at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rochester has already played their next game (against Taylor), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
