Lincoln is 9-1 against Balboa since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mustangs will host the Buccaneers at 5:15 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Balboa will be up against a hot Lincoln team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Mustangs' way against Lowell on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 28-26, 25-22.

Balboa not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 5th (when they won 3-0). They blew past Galileo 3-0. The Buccaneers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Balboa walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19, 25-18.

Lincoln better focus on containing Vincent Nhan and Daniel Hu as the pair were huge in Balboa's win. Nhan had 21 assists and two aces, while Hu had nine digs and one assist. That's the most digs Hu has posted over his last five contests. Alan Chen also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

Balboa's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.

Lincoln got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Balboa by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Buccaneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
