St. Ignatius College Preparatory entered their tilt with Balboa on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Buccaneers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Leading St. Ignatius College Preparatory to victory were Valerie Chu and Bryce Killion. Chu had five digs and two aces, while Killion had 12 digs. What's more, Chu racked up 27 assists, the most she's had over her last 12 matches. Emma Wu also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

St. Ignatius College Preparatory's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Balboa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

St. Ignatius College Preparatory will host Lowell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Balboa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Galileo at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
