Flag Football Recap: Miramonte Matadors vs. Alhambra Bulldogs
Miramonte had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped down to 2-8 to make it seven. They came up short against the Alhambra Bulldogs, falling 38-12. Having soared to a lofty 40 points in the game before, the Matadors couldn't push the score so high this time.
As for Alhambra, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.2 points on average over those games.
Alhambra found their leader in freshman Courtney Reed, who rushed for 67 yards and one TD, and also threw for 150 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
