Jace Ziola gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in April of 2024 on Friday. He made a splash, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Bellevue West back in April of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Ziola has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Ziola and Skutt Catholic will face off against Nebraska City at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
