Boulder Creek is 8-2 against Mountain Ridge since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Boulder Creek Jaguars will host the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions at 7:00 p.m. Boulder Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Mountain Ridge likes a good challenge.

On Monday, Boulder Creek strolled past Pinnacle with points to spare, taking the game 79-63. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Pioneers are ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 68-38 loss at the hands of Liberty. The Mountain Lions haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Boulder Creek will have to keep a close watch on Dylan Donovan and Ebrahema Jaiteh ? Kabba, a pair of players who had a big impact on Mountain Ridge's prior game. Donovan posted 13 points, while Jaiteh ? Kabba had ten points. Maven Beadle also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Boulder Creek is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Mountain Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Boulder Creek didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Mountain Ridge when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 73-67 win.
