Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Smithtown Christian). Everything went their way against the Southold Settlers on Monday as they made off with a 13-2 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Quincy Gibbs made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.
