Baseball Recap: Ponte Vedra Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Ponte Vedra won against Fletcher last Tuesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. Ponte Vedra walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Parker Braves. Winning may never get old, but the Sharks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Connor McCarthy looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ashtan Augusta, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Carter Lang also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Ponte Vedra's record now sits at 8-6. As for Parker, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Ponte Vedra didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 win against Sandalwood on the 19th. As for Parker, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-5 victory against Riverside on the 24th.
