Softball Recap: Teaneck Victorious

Teaneck posted their closest win since May 15, 2025 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Saddle Brook Falcons 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Highwaymen, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Olivia Rottner, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Leanna Guerreeo was another key player, earning one run and two stolen bases.

The win made it two in a row for Teaneck and bumps their season record up to 3-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Saddle Brook, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Teaneck will host Bergenfield at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Saddle Brook, they will face off against Hasbrouck Heights at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
