Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Drops Season-High Score on North Community

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Roosevelt). Everything went their way against the North Community Polars on Tuesday as they made off with a 21-6 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Teddies with their most commanding win of the season.

The team relied heavily on Liam McMahon, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.

McMahon wasn't the only one making solid contact: Roosevelt kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for North Community, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Roosevelt will host North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Teddies are facing the Polars at the right time seeing as the Polars are stuck on a five-game losing streak. North Community will be paying especially close attention to Roosevelt's matchup: after Roosevelt faces off against Minneapolis South, they'll take on North Community again at 12:00 p.m. on May 17.
